Day 1: Diani Beach - Lumo Wildlife Sanctuary
Before sunrise – at 5.30 am – we will pick you up from your accommodation. You start your bush adventure. Today you drive to the entrance of the private Lumo Wildlife Wanctuary and discover the first animals on a game drive to the fantastically located Lion’s Bluff Lodge. With only 12 tents, this camp is still one of the insider tips, as is the Lumo Sanctuary with its abundance of animals.
After lunch, xou can enjoy the fantastic view and the tranquility of this wonderful place before you go on another game drive in the reserve in the afternoon: you might spot elephants, buffalo, antelopes, lionsand many birds.
At sunset, you will be back and in the evening let yourself be pampered by the staff – 1 overnight in the romantic Lion’s Bluff Lodge (L/D).
Day 2: Lumo Wildlife Sanctuary - Tsavo West National Park
Even before breakfast, you go for an early morning game drive with the light at sunrise (departure: 6.30 am). If you’re lucky, you might even see Mt. Kilimanjaro glowing in the west!
After that, not only does the lion’s stomach growl, but you also have deserved your breakfast. Then you go on a leisurely game drive to the neighboring Tsavo West National Park: The bush is getting thicker and it takes a good eye to spot the giraffes, elephants and other animals. You will reach the next accommodation for lunch.
Relax a bit before going on another game drive in the afternoon with a stop at Mzima Springs: this amalgamation of three underground springs, fed by the Chyulu Hills, is the main water supply to Mombasa. There you can watch hippos and crocodiles. You walk a short distance to observe them from a safe distance. Then tcontinue your game drive and try to find one of the shy leopards.
Back at the camp, wash off the dust before you set out for an atmospheric dinner with a view over the waterhole – 1 overnight at Severin Safari Camp (B/L/D).
Day 3: Tsavo West National Park - Tsavo East National Park
Today you should get up early again and have breakfast first, then load your luggage into the vehicle and go on a long game drive through varied landscapes: black lava flows testify of not too long ago volcanic eruptions, hilly green and finally the wide plains of Kenya’s largest national park Tsavo East. Many animals such as giraffes, antelopes and gazelles can be found.
At lunchtime, you will reach your last “bush accommodation” and let yourself be pampered once more. Around 3.30 pm it gets cooler and the animals are active again. Time to go on the next game drive (don’t forget binoculars and camera!). Die rote Erde des Tsavo Ost wird Sie bis zum Sonnenuntergang (ca. 18.30 Uhr) begleiten und ein herrliches Panorama bieten – 1 Übernachtung im Sentrim Tsavo Ost Camp (F/M/A)
Day 4: Tsavo East National Park - Diani Beach
After an early breakfast you have plenty of time for one last long game drive through the vastness of Tsavo East. It’s still cool and elephants, giraffes, buffaloor even cats are often active around this time. Then it’s time to say goodbye and you leave the park.
Lunch at a restaurant near the park exit. Afterwards, you drive back to your accommodation in Diani Beach, where you say goodbye to your driver (B/L).
