Day Nairobi - Meru National Park
Today drive around a part of the Mt. Kenya and into the still unknown secret: Meru National Park. The park is a wild, rarely visited beauty that will take you in its spell. Many animal species were resettled here after the big poaching in the 1990's and have multiplied in number. On one of the famous Kopjes the orphaned lioness Elsa was reintroduced to the wild - today exists here a small luxury camp – 2 overnights at Ikweta Safari Camp (B/L/D).

Day Meru National Park
Explore with your driver the beautiful, huge national park and let yourself be taken back by the rushing waters of the Tana River in the 1960's where Joy and George Adamson had pitched their camp here. Visit the grave of the lioness Elsa, which found her final resting place here (B/L/D).

Day Meru National Park - Samburu & Buffalo Springs National Reserve
After a good breakfast, we continue to the land of the Samburu. The national reserves are eserves and harboring rare Grevy's zebras, reticulated giraffes and Somali ostriches as well as prides of lions and elephant herds - 1 overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodgehttp://www.sopalodges.com/samburu/home.html (B/L/D).

Day Samburu & Buffalo Springs National Reserve - Shaba National Reserve
Today you drive to the dry but charming Shaba National Reserve. The movie "To Walk With Lions" about George Adamson was shot here and there you can find plaques to Joy Adamson and Elsa the lioness  – 1 overnight at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge (B/L/D).

Day Shaba National Reserve - Nanyuki
Comfortable drive today to Nanyuki, a bustling small town at the foot of Mount Kenya. Either in the afternoon or even better early in the morning of day 7, you will do a guided nature walk or a short hike through the protected forest area at the foot of Mt. Kenya and learn more about the traditional use of different plant species and varieties. End your day in your small, simple finish hotel and admire the enchanting starry sky at over 2,000 meters above sea level – 1 overnight at Beisa Hotel (B/L/D).

Day Nanyuki - Nakuru
If you have decided to do the hike early in the morning, start at 7 a.m. with all your luggage and enjoy the cool fresh morning in the forest. After you lead towards Nakuru. Once again you cross the equator and can visit Thomson Falls in Nyahururu water. On your way to Nakuru you pass by fertile land with many tea and coffee plantations – 1 overnight at Eagle Palace Hotel (B/D).

Day 8  Lake Nakuru National Park - Lake Naivasha
Lake Nakuru National Park is a must among the pearls of the protected areas in Kenya. Known for its birdlife, it is also home to many rare and endangered species. To find the rhino here, for example, is almost guaranteed! After a picnic inside the park you slowly drive towards the exit and to Lake Naivasha. There you will stay on the legendary estate of Joy Adamson - a house that still conveys the spirit of the former days. An unforgettable atmosphere overlooking the lake - you will want to stay here much longer – 3 overnights at  Elsamere (B/L/D).

Day Hell’s Gate National Park
Early morning guided walk (easy - about 3 hours) through the remarkable Hell's Gate National Park, passing zebras, giraffes, warthogs and antelopes like Elands. If you still feel fit, hike down a romantic gorge (medium).  Then drive back to Elsamere for lunch and relax in the beautiful garden. An experience is a boat trip during blue hour on Lake Naivasha when the light is the most beautiful for impressive moments (B/L/D).

Day 10  Crater Lake Sanctuary
Start the day with a boat trip on Lake Oloidien. Watch swarms of lesser flamingoes as well as hippos. Then you go for a guided walk through the private Crater Lake Sanctuary. Some scenes of the movie Out of Africa were filmed here and the proximity to giraffes, zebras and other harmless animals will inspire you. After lunch in Elsamere you can watch the movie about Joy Adamson and visit the small Museeum. A walk over the extensive grounds and a visit to the study center you should do (B/L/D).

Day 11  Lake Naivasha - Nairobi
After an excellent
and leisurely breakfast (boat trip on the Lake Naivasha from day 9 with the sunrise can be taken before breakfast), spend the day at the lake or even use it for one last shopping. Then slowly drive back to Nairobi (B/L).
